The Governmental Law Practice Group was established to address the ever-increasing complexities of the operations of local, state, and federal government. The Group represents governmental entities of various kinds, including municipalities, counties, school districts, water and utility districts, emergency services districts and economic development corporations, among others, in all aspects of operations. The Group also represents many private clients of the firm in a myriad of administrative, legislative and regulatory legal matters at the local, state and federal levels.

Regulatory, Legislative and Lobbying

The Governmental Law Practice Group represents public and private clients in regulatory and legislative legal matters at the local, state and federal levels. The Group is regularly engaged in lobbying activities at the federal, state, county and municipal levels, and the Group represents the interests of various firm clients before federal, state and local regulatory agencies, such as the Federal Environmental Protection Agency, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the United States Army Corps of Engineers, the United States Department of Fish & Wildlife, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, the Public Utility Commission of Texas, the Texas Health Department, the State Board of Insurance, Texas Parks & Wildlife Department and the Texas Comptroller's Office, among others.
