FERRIS CLEMENTS

Ferris Clements joined Armbrust & Brown in 2017. His practice focuses on commercial real estate transactions, real estate development, land use, and business law, including representing clients before city and county governmental entities in land-use matters.

Ferris, a native Austinite, received his J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law in 2017, and his B.S. from The University of Texas in 2014. During law school, he served as a judicial intern to The Honorable Lee Yeakel of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, and to The Honorable Jeff Rose of the Texas Third Court of Appeals.

Ferris represents real estate developers, investors, and individuals and business entities in negotiating and drafting purchase and sale agreements, commercial leases, loan documents, brokerage and management agreements, and various other agreements pertaining to the acquisition, ownership, and disposition of commercial real estate projects.

Representative Experience

  • Successful rezoning of 5.5 acres located on South Congress Avenue from industrial zoning (LI) to commercial vertical mixed-use zoning (CS-MU-V) to allow the development of a mixed-use project.
  • Representation of a real estate development company in the acquisition of 1,500 acres for a large multi-use development (including residential, commercial, and golf course uses) located in Travis County, Texas.
  • Representation of a real estate investment and development company in the acquisition, leasing, and management of three (3) adjacent office buildings in Austin, Texas.
  • Representation of a real estate investment company in the acquisition, leasing, and management of a 100,166 square foot Class A office building in downtown Austin, Texas.
  • Representation of a real estate investment and development company in the acquisition, leasing, and management of a 5.5 acre mixed-use project in Austin, Texas.
  • Representation of a real estate investment company in the leasing and management of 67,400 square feet of creative office and retail space in Austin, Texas.
  • Representation of a national dry cleaning company in the successful rezoning of property located on Burnet Road.
  • Representation of a real estate investment company in the acquisition, leasing, and management of a 19,551 square foot Class B office building in Austin, Texas.
  • Representation of an oilfield services company in the negotiation and drafting of master services agreements.
