MIREYA BRAXTON

Mireya Braxton is a business litigation attorney. Mireya has experience in cases involving employment law, real estate, property disputes, oil and gas, partnership disputes, and other complex business disputes. Mireya has participated in cases in both state and federal court. In addition to her litigation practice, Mireya also provides advice and outside general counsel services to businesses, individuals, and local charities.

Mireya graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Law. While at UNC, she served in leadership positions for several student-led organizations, including an editorial position for the First Amendment Law Review, as a faculty research assistant on environmental law matters, and as a researcher on legal issues affecting the university’s athletic department. Mireya participated in, and then served as a mentor for the Twin Cities Diversity in Practice clerkship, and was awarded the Certificate of Merit for achieving the highest mark in her Amateur Sports Law class.

A double Tar Heel, Mireya received her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, where she earned numerous academic honors. An accomplished student-athlete in high school and college, she was a starter on her NCAA Division 1 volleyball team.

Outside of the office, Mireya enjoys spending time with friends, family, and her two golden retrievers, Riggins and Ruger. Mireya likes to stay active and can often be found on the trail, in a workout class, training in various disciplines related to general equitation, or wake surfing on Lake Travis. When time permits, Mireya, a lover of the outdoors, will escape to the Colorado mountains to spend time hiking and horseback riding, and in the winter, snowboarding.

Prior to joining Armbrust & Brown, Mireya was an associate at Weisbart Springer Hayes.
