SEAN ABBOTT

Sean Abbott represents water districts that construct and finance water, sewer, drainage, road, and recreational facilities in communities throughout the Central Texas region. His practice includes the creation of water districts before the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and the Texas Legislature, negotiation of consent and utility agreements with municipalities, and providing general counsel to various water districts. Sean also represents developers and landowners before local governments in matters relating to the construction and financing of water and wastewater facilities, usually in the context of raw land development.

Sean has worked for members of both the Texas House of Representatives and the Texas Senate, and served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Public Finance Division of the Office of the Attorney General of the State of Texas. He has represented various clients before the Texas Legislature, the Public Utility Commission, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, and the Office of the Attorney General, as well as numerous cities and counties in Central Texas.

Sean currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Hill Country Conservancy. He previously served on the Management Committee of the Urban Land Institute Austin.
